Marlys Millhiser

Marlys Millhiser was born in the far distant past somewhere in Iowa, long before written records were kept. She may or may not have traveled to Boulder, Colorado, via covered wagon, to attend the University of Colorado where she earned a masters degree in history. She taught high school for several years before becoming a full-time writer. The Mirror, published in 1978, is her most famous book, one that was so popular with readers that it was—until our reprint appeared in 1997—one of the most frequently stolen books at public libraries. Several readers have even commented that they named their children after characters in the book. This new edition of the book is now in its eighth printing.

In recent years, Marlys has written a mystery series featuring Charlie Greene, a literary agent, who also hails from Boulder. She is married to David, who loves to camp and rough it (both activities cause Marlys to shudder), and has one son and one daughter.
